Beer lovers, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated Great British Beer Festival is making a much-anticipated return in 2025 after taking a break in 2024, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever. For the first time since 1983, the iconic event will be hosted in the West Midlands, with the festival moving from its traditional home in London to the NEC Birmingham from 5th to 9th August 2025.
This relocation offers festivalgoers an exciting new venue. Conveniently situated next to Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Railway Station, the NEC is the perfect spot to welcome beer enthusiasts from all corners of the UK and beyond.
A Celebration of Brewing Excellence
Now in its 47th year, the Great British Beer Festival will showcase the very best of British brewing, with a vast selection of hundreds of beers under one roof. From traditional real ales to innovative brews, there will be something for everyone. In addition to beer, the festival will feature dedicated bars for real cider and perry, plus an array of cocktails for those looking to mix things up.
One of the festival’s key partners is none other than North Yorkshire’s very own T&R Theakston, an independent family-controlled brewery with nearly 200 years of brewing heritage. Founded in Masham in 1827, Theakston has long been a champion of quality cask ale, and its involvement in the 2025 festival highlights its ongoing dedication to the craft of brewing.
Entertainment, Food, and Fun
The Great British Beer Festival isn’t just about the drinks—it’s about the experience. Alongside sampling the finest beer, cider, and perry, festivalgoers can enjoy a wide range of entertainment and activities. From pub-style games to performances and local food vendors serving up delicious treats, there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Richard Bradbury, Managing Director at T&R Theakston, said:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with CAMRA for its 2025 British Beer Festival and are looking forward to pouring and sharing a pint with friends and fans from across the UK as we all celebrate the best of British beer.”
