February is here, and while the days are getting longer, many are still feeling the winter blues. To help lift spirits, famous pizza chain Sbarro is offering its New York-style XL pizza slices for just 15p at its Leeds store for one day only.
On Saturday, February 8th, from 12-8 pm, customers can grab a slice of Sbarro’s signature pizza at a throwback price, celebrating the brand’s history when it first sold slices for 15 cents in 1956. The offer is available exclusively at the Sbarro outlet at St George’s Retail Park, Middleton, Leeds LS10 4TQ.

A spokesperson for Sbarro said: “We know how tough things can be for a lot of people at this time of year, so we wanted to make life a little easier by selling our New York-style XL pizza slices at a small-change price of just 15p, in the spirit of our founders Carmela and Gennaro Sbarro.
“In 1956, they opened their Italian salumeria in Brooklyn, New York. Carmela ‘Mama’ Sbarro made pizza slices for shift workers looking for a quick meal. Her slices were so popular that they soon opened a second location focused solely on pizza, and now there are 630 Sbarro eateries across 28 countries.”
Even in today’s tough times, a 15p pizza slice won’t break the bank. For comparison, in 1956, a gallon of petrol cost just 29p, a pint of beer was 2p, and a dozen eggs were 3p. While most prices have soared, Sbarro is rolling back the years for one day only.
Don’t miss out—visit Sbarro at St George’s Retail Park, Leeds, on February 8th to enjoy this nostalgic deal. (Terms and conditions apply.)
