The animal kingdom’s most celebrated fathers are taking the spotlight at Yorkshire Wildlife Park this month as the attraction announces that human dads can visit completely free of charge for Father’s Day weekend.
The award-winning park, located in Auckley near Doncaster, is hosting a dedicated family celebration across Saturday 20th June and Sunday 21st June 2026. The weekend will highlight high-profile animal fathers, including Drake, an Amur leopard who recently sired a set of cubs to support the conservation of his critically endangered species, which numbers just 130 in the wild. Visitors will also be able to spot 14-year-old cheetah Brooke, a father of six whose latest litter of four cubs is preparing to make their public debut.
To mark the occasion, the park is offering one free father’s admission ticket per advanced online booking or member booking when accompanied by a pre-booked adult, child, senior, or student ticket.
The onsite Hex Wildlife Hotel is also launching a concurrent holiday package running from 19th June to 22nd June. The stayover deal covers free park admission, a complimentary breakfast at Wilds Cafe Bistro, and a bottle of beer alongside retro sweets for dad upon arrival.
As a major international conservation hub and home to the Yorkshire Wildlife Foundation charity, the site allows visitors to experience unique walk-through habitats containing endangered species such as polar bears, black rhinos, tigers, and African painted dogs. Advanced single adult tickets for the weekend start from £27.99, with full booking terms available on the park’s official portal.
“This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating not only the incredible animal dads here at the park, but the father figures creating unforgettable memories with their families too. We’re looking forward to welcoming families for a truly wild Father’s Day to experience and learn about some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species.”
