Grade II Listed Ox Pasture Hall Hotel and Spa Up for Sale

Ox Pasture Hall, a Grade II listed hotel, spa, and event venue in the North York Moors National Park, has been put on the market.

Dating back to the 1800s, the hotel has 39 guest bedrooms, a bar, a lounge, an 80-cover restaurant, and various private dining spaces. In recent years, a wedding and function suite was added, allowing for large events of up to 220 guests with its own bar, kitchen, and music system.

The site also includes a luxury spa, featuring treatment rooms, a gym, a 15m pool, sauna/steam rooms, and seven suites, three of which have two bedrooms. The spa was developed as part of a multi-million-pound investment.

Set within 17 acres of countryside, the venue has landscaped gardens, a lake, and courtyard spaces. There is potential for further development, such as expanding guest accommodation or introducing lodges, subject to planning approval.

Situated between Scarborough and Whitby, the hotel is well-placed to attract visitors exploring the Yorkshire Coast and Moors.

The hotel is currently closed, with the sale being handled by Claire Foster at Revive Business Recovery.

Mark Worley, Director – Hotels at Christie & Co, commented: “This sale presents an opportunity for a buyer to build on the significant investment already made, particularly in the function suite and spa. Before its closure, the hotel had strong reviews and a good reputation, and it is hoped that a new owner can restore and develop the business further.”
