Kelham Pride Set to Return for Massive Third Year as Sheffield’s Biggest LGBTQ+ Festival

Kelham Pride, Sheffield’s biggest LGBTQ+ event, is officially returning for its third year on Saturday, 20th June 2026. Taking over the vibrant Kelham Island and Neepsend areas of the city, the day festival remains completely free to attend, offering a diverse lineup with something for everyone.

As a charity-run, volunteer-led event, the festival relies heavily on the support of local businesses and institutions to keep it free and accessible for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Key headline sponsors for the main stage this year include First Customer Contact Centre, Meadowhall, Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Sheffield, Sheffield City Hall, and the Utilita Arena Sheffield. International law firm CMS has also stepped up as a Tier One sponsor.

The festivities will kick off with a high-energy pride march starting at the Kelham Island Museum and wrapping up at the main stage on Burton Road. Organisers are prepping for another massive turnout; in 2025, the festival drew in over 11,500 people across the main stage and its numerous partner venues throughout the day.

Ady Jaques, Lead Fundraiser for Kelham Pride, said:

“It is a testament to the city that we have such inclusive businesses and institutions that are willing to put their money where their mouth is to support the LGBTQ+ community and show their solidarity. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our sponsors on behalf of everyone at Kelham Pride for allowing us to continue to thrive.”

Prof Liz Mossop, Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University, added:

“Recent reports highlighting the UK’s decline in LGBTQ+ rights rankings underline just how important it is to foster environments where everyone feels safe, valued and that they truly belong. We are proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ communities, and events like Pride are a powerful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to equality, respect and inclusion for all.”
