Leeds Bradford Airport has joined forces with Muslim Friendly Employers to launch a new partnership aimed at fostering inclusion, cultural awareness and community engagement. The collaboration was celebrated at a special event hosted by Leeds Bradford Airport, MFE and Regal Foods on Thursday 20th March, marking the start of an exciting initiative at a time of significant growth for the airport. As part of its terminal expansion project, LBA:REGEN, the airport is set to open a brand-new airside multi-faith room in the current terminal refurbishment.
The event brought together employees, local communities and partners to share a meal and reflect on the significance of Ramadan, with speakers including representatives from MFE, Regal Foods and the wider community. Following a moment of prayer at sunset, guests enjoyed a communal meal and networking session that celebrated the spirit of Ramadan and encouraged interfaith conversations.

The new partnership reflects Leeds Bradford Airport’s commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion, reinforced by the recent launch of new EDI and Anti-Bullying and Harassment policies and the active work of its Inclusion Champions network. Vincent Hodder, CEO at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “At Leeds Bradford Airport we are dedicated to creating an environment where diversity is embraced and all employees and passengers are valued. As part of our ongoing efforts, LBA remains committed to providing spaces and opportunities for cultural expression, learning and dialogue. We are thrilled to launch our new partnership with MFE as part of our ongoing dedication to education and understanding.”
This initiative underscores the airport’s focus on building connections in the local community and supporting cultural expression in the workplace. For more information, visit leedsbradfordairport.co.uk or follow the airport’s social media channels.
