Lindsey Burrow and BBC Look North presenter Amy Garcia are joining forces for a demanding five-day charity challenge, pushing a studio red sofa 80 miles across Yorkshire for BBC Children in Need.
Dubbed the “Push for Pudsey” challenge, the pair will transport the Look North sofa using a specially designed trolley through dozens of towns and villages between 9th and 13th November. Along the 80-mile trek, they will tackle some of the region’s steepest terrain, including the famous Holme Moss climb, while visiting Children in Need-funded projects supporting local young people.
The challenge marks another joint effort for the pair, who raised tens of thousands of pounds for Children in Need last year on a three-legged walk. Lindsey Burrow, who has completed multiple marathons in memory of her late husband, rugby league icon Rob Burrow, admits this trek will test them both to their limits.

“We did a test push for about 500 yards, and it’s a lot harder than I expected. I think it’s going to be a real challenge, to say the least,” said Lindsey Burrow. “I like to take part in fundraising, to be able to support Children in Need with the incredible work that they do and support the charities, is just really special.”
Amy Garcia added: “It’s going to be a slog… But it’s such an incredible opportunity to meet our viewers. Lindsey and I are both mums, and we are passionate about trying to help other children who don’t get the same opportunities.”
Covering between 12 and 20 miles per day, the duo will broadcast live for Look North throughout their journey. The route begins in Ripon on 9th November before heading through Harrogate, Sprotbrough, Sheffield, Holmfirth, and Morley, before wrapping up in Wakefield on 13th November.
