Harewood House has revealed a fresh look for Mother’s Day with new floral displays and a seasonal art exhibition.
Visitors can now explore a series of silk floral arrangements created by acclaimed florist Leafy Couture. These displays across four rooms on the State Floor draw inspiration from the changing seasons and Harewood’s historic collections, including rare Sèvres porcelain. The blooms complement a new exhibition titled Charlotte Verity, The Season Following, which features paintings of plants and flowers created over 20 years. This display tracks the rhythm of nature from winter to summer and includes painted poems shown publicly for the first time.

Zoë Hughes, Head of Public Programme at Harewood House Trust, said: “Mother’s Day at Harewood is about celebrating beauty in all its forms – flowers, art, and nature. From Leafy Couture’s spectacular blooms to Charlotte Verity’s seasonal paintings, I hope we’ve created the perfect way for families to come together, explore, and create lasting memories.”
Beyond the art, the estate offers a traditional Afternoon Tea featuring artisan teas, sandwiches, cakes, and scones. Mothers attending the tea receive a complimentary glass of fizz. Booking this experience includes access to the House, Gardens, and Grounds for a full day of relaxation.

For families with children, the 140-acre grounds include an adventure playground, willow mazes, and the Sylvascope Treehouse. A family trail inspired by Charlotte Verity brings seasonal discovery to life, while the Servants’ Hall Family Fun Space provides indoor books and games. On Sunday 15th March, the monthly Art Club will also host a Mother’s Day special at 10:30am for young artists to learn new skills and take home their own creations.
The Charlotte Verity exhibition runs from Friday to Sunday until 22nd March, then daily from 23rd March until 7th June 2026. Advance tickets cost £22.50 for adults and £10 for children when booked at least 24 hours before a visit. Entry is free for Harewood members and children under four. Groups of 10 or more adults can access reduced rates, with free admission for the organiser and coach driver.
