Outdoor ice skating is officially returning to York city centre for the first time since 2010! The team behind the famous THOR’S tipi has unveiled THOR’S on ICE, a huge 4,950 sq ft covered outdoor ice rink set to take over York Museum Gardens behind York Art Gallery this Christmas.
Opening from 13th November to 3rd January, the winter wonderland experience features a clear roof so skaters can enjoy the ice rain or shine, alongside mulled wine cabins, hot chocolate stalls, seasonal street food, and live entertainment. It sits just a short walk from THOR’S signature winter tipi, which returns to the gardens for its fourth consecutive year.
Tickets go on sale today (24th September), with 45-minute skating sessions starting at £12 for adults, £11 for children, and £31.50 for family passes. To celebrate the launch, skaters can grab 20% off all online ticket bookings made before 30th September using the code THORSONICE20.
