Scarborough’s top adventure spot, North Yorkshire Water Park, is gearing up for a fang-tastic half-term with a spooky lineup of family-friendly Halloween activities! From pumpkin carving to eerie archery, there’s no shortage of Halloween fun, making it the perfect destination for local families looking to embrace the spooky season.
Running from Saturday, 26th October to Sunday, 3rd November, North Yorkshire Water Park’s half-term events are packed with ghoulishly good activities. Kids aged 4 to 16 can take part in Pumpkin Carving workshops held daily at 10am and 2pm. For £10 per child (£5 per adult), participants will pick their own pumpkins from Adventure Wood before carving them in a specially decorated bushcraft area. And for those really diving into the Halloween spirit, additional pumpkins are available for £5 each.
If that’s not enough spooky excitement, why not try your hand at Halloween-themed archery or axe throwing? Guests can shoot arrows at spider web targets or even hurl axes at pumpkins in Adventure Wood—guaranteeing an extra thrill for those who fancy testing their aim in true Halloween style.
For families who prefer a more leisurely adventure, the park is also hosting a free Pumpkin Trail around the lake. Take a scenic stroll by the water, search for hidden pumpkins, and submit your count at the café for a chance to win a prize! It’s the perfect way to enjoy some fresh autumn air while keeping an eye out for spooky surprises.
No Halloween celebration is complete without tasty treats, and The Café @ NYWP will be serving up seasonal delights, including fresh pumpkin soup and a selection of Halloween-themed goodies. And if you’re visiting on a Sunday, don’t miss their newly launched Sunday Carvery, offering a hearty roast with all the trimmings to round off your day.
