A prominent West Yorkshire nursing home has changed hands for the first time in over four decades following a confidential sales process managed by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
Herncliffe Nursing Home, located in the market town of Keighley, has been purchased by regional operator Summit Care Group for an undisclosed price. The acquisition marks the seventh site for the expanding care group, which manages a portfolio of homes across Yorkshire and the Midlands.
The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to accommodate 115 residents and provides a comprehensive range of local care services. Prior to the sale, Herncliffe had been established and owned by P & B Kennedy Holdings Limited for more than 45 years, with the family choosing to sell the business to facilitate their retirement.
According to Christie & Co, the transaction reflects a broader, ongoing demand from regional and national operators seeking high-quality care assets across the north of England.
