Supercar Driver Treats Children’s Hospice Families to a Day of Thrills at Bluebell Wood

Hospice users enjoy supercar experience

Supercar enthusiasts and families supported by Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice were recently treated to an unforgettable experience, all thanks to the generous team at Supercar Driver.

The collaboration between the hospice and Supercar Driver offered families the rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of luxury automobiles. Attendees delighted in the chance to sit behind the wheel and capture cherished moments with their favourite supercars against the backdrop of Bluebell Wood.

One attendee who particularly enjoyed the experience was 12-year-old Jacob, currently under the care of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. His infectious smile while seated in a Lamborghini epitomised the joy felt by all who attended.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. The surprise visit served as a thrilling preview of what awaits at Meadowhall over the late May bank holiday weekend (Sunday 26th) – the return of the highly anticipated Supercar Experience, all in support of the children’s hospice.

The Supercar Experience at Meadowhall promises an impressive lineup of over 45 of the most coveted automobiles in the country. Enthusiasts will have the chance to marvel at iconic brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, and many more, all set against the vibrant backdrop of Meadowhall’s shopping and entertainment offerings.

For younger fans, the spectacle continues with Lightning McQueen and the Batmobile making special appearances, ensuring an unforgettable experience for enthusiasts of all ages amidst Meadowhall’s dynamic environment.

Moreover, the event holds deeper significance, as all proceeds raised will be directed to Bluebell Wood to bolster its care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Darren Pearce, the Centre Director at Meadowhall, expressed his anticipation, stating, “It’s great to see the joy that sitting in the supercars brought the children and young people. We’re incredibly excited to welcome the Supercar Experience back to Meadowhall this summer and continue to raise support for Bluebell Wood.”

Beth Cole, Events Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, echoed the sentiment, emphasising their anticipation for the event’s return. Cole remarked, “We’re hugely looking forward to the return of the Supercar Experience back to Meadowhall. The Supercar Driver visit to the hospice has given us a glimpse of the excitement the event brings.”

Last year’s Supercars event at Meadowhall raised over £32,000 for the charity through ticket sales and donations, underscoring the community’s unwavering support for Bluebell Wood’s vital services.
