Trinity Leeds has unveiled a super-sized tribute to sporting icon Sir Kevin Sinfield as part of its Yorkshire Day celebrations today.
The massive artwork featuring the Leeds Rhinos legend, recently awarded a knighthood, is currently on display beneath the main atrium as the shopping centre backs his upcoming charity push.
As part of the Yorkshire Day activities, Trinity Leeds is hosting an interactive ‘wall of support’ where shoppers can leave personal messages of encouragement on rugby shirt-themed cards. The feature runs from 9am to 5pm on August 1st between M&S and ROX.
The former Super League star has raised over £11 million for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charities in honour of his late friend and teammate Rob Burrow, who passed away from MND in 2024.
Sir Kev tackles his final challenge this September, titled 7 in 7: The Grand Finale, running an ultra-marathon every day for seven consecutive days. The route visits all 12 English Super League grounds before finishing at Old Trafford ahead of the Betfred Super League Grand Final.
Sir Kevin Sinfield said: “It’s a real honour for me and the charities to be a focus of Yorkshire Day at Trinity Leeds this year and to be playing my part in celebrating a city and a county which has been such a massive part of my life both on and off the pitch.
“Leeds and Yorkshire will always be incredibly special places for me, where the people have shown me amazing support through the years and where I’ve experienced so many moments that I’ll never forget.
“It’ll mean so much to once again have the backing of the people of Leeds as I set off on this latest challenge and to know they’re cheering me on all the way.”

“Sir Kevin is a Leeds legend and his dedication and determination is simply remarkable. He’s a true inspiration to so many people in Leeds, Yorkshire and beyond, so it’s only right that we honour him on Yorkshire Day.”
Funds raised through the final run will support six organisations: the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, MND Scotland, Leeds Hospitals Charity, and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
