The Wensleydale Railway is bringing back its popular “Fireworks Express” train service to help local families get to the annual Bedale community fireworks event.
Running on Saturday 7th November, the special service travels between Leyburn and Leeming Bar, stopping off to drop passengers directly at Bedale for the celebrations. It gives people living across the west end of the dale a straightforward way to attend without dealing with dark country roads or fighting for parking spaces.
Trains leave Leeming Bar at 4pm and Leyburn at 5pm. Adult return tickets cost £10, while children aged 3 to 15 can travel for £1 when accompanied by a paying adult.
Set against the backdrop of Bedale Hall in historic Bedale Park, the community event kicks off at 5pm with live music before the main fireworks display begins at 7pm.
“We are pleased to once again provide our ‘Fireworks Express’ service in support of the Bedale community fireworks event,” said Nick Keegan, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Wensleydale Railway. “Our train service is the perfect way for people to attend the event and avoid driving on dark, busy roads and the stress of finding a car parking space.”
Tickets for the train service can be booked in advance online at wensleydale-railway.co.uk/bedale-bonfire-2.
