Fifteen community pubs across Yorkshire & The Humber are teaming up for an exciting national darts competition, aiming to uncover the next big talent in the world of darts. Hosted by Proper Pubs, the award-winning division of Admiral Taverns, the competition is set to offer a platform for aspiring players to show off their skills and compete for a £1,000 prize.
The event, sponsored by Fosters, follows a best-of-three legs, best-of-501 format. Pub heats kicked off on 6th January and will run until 7th February. Each week, two competitors will advance to their pub’s final, and by the end of the heats, eight players will emerge as finalists from the participating pubs.
The pub finals will take place during the week starting 10th February, where the winners and runners-up from each pub will progress to the regional finals, set for the week beginning 17th February. Nine regional finals will be held across the country, with four finalists advancing to the National Final.
The 36 finalists will compete in the National Final on Sunday 2nd March, hosted at the Town Hall Tavern in Greater Manchester. The winner will take home a £1,000 prize, marking a significant achievement for any up-and-coming darts player.
