Sheffield-based housebuilder Honey has unveiled plans for three new developments in South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, set to deliver 255 homes and generate £81.5 million in revenue.
Contracts have been exchanged for sites in Waverley, near Rotherham; Kirkby-in-Ashfield, near Mansfield; and Eastwood, near Nottingham. Planning applications have been submitted for the developments in Waverley and Kirkby-in-Ashfield, with plans for Eastwood to follow in the coming weeks.
The Waverley site marks the second phase of Homes by Honey at Waverley, adding 121 homes and contributing £37.5 million to the project’s total value.
Since its launch in October 2022, Honey has secured 19 sites across Yorkshire and the East Midlands, aiming to deliver 2,349 homes with a combined gross development value of £665 million.
Honey’s CEO, Mark Mitchell, said the company’s recent success reflects its dedication to delivering stylish, sustainable homes that meet modern needs.
“Securing these three sites is testament to our commitment to provide homes which combine style, substance and sustainability across Yorkshire and the Midlands,” said Mitchell. “We have gained great momentum to start 2025 and now look forward to our proposed plans being considered.”
Honey focuses on consumer insights to design homes with flexible living spaces tailored to today’s buyers. Features include bi-fold doors, integrated kitchens, boutique-style bathrooms with freestanding baths, and electric vehicle charging points as standard.
