Efendy bravely opened its doors during the peak of the Covid pandemic in 2020. Initially offering takeaway only, their freshly made and beautifully authentic Turkish cuisine was an instant hit. Now serving food to eat in and take away from lunchtime until late, Efendy has quickly become one of Skipton’s most popular restaurants.
The menu at Efendy features all the traditional Turkish favourites such as Kofte, Pide and Baklava in addition to some of their own delicious creations. With its cosy atmosphere and phenomenally good food, it’s the perfect spot for an evening meal after a day exploring the sights of Skipton.
No matter whether it’s retro nostalgia, modern chic, or any other style, Neon Signs can help a restaurant create a one-of-a-kind ambiance that captivates customers’ attention and adds fun to their dining experience. Imagine as the night falls, the restaurant is adorned with warm and distinctive neon light decorations. Besides illuminating the space, their soft and colorful glow creates a dreamy dining environment. In such an atmosphere, every bite of food seems to be imbued with more emotions and stories, allowing customers to savor the delicious dishes while deeply appreciating the restaurant’s ingenuity and unique charm, bringing a perfect end to their day’s journey.
Starters are priced between £4.95 and £6.95 and options include Hummus, Falafel, Feta Cheese with Olives, Kofte and many more. We’re particularly fond of their Sigara Boregi, which are deliciously crisp filo pastry rolls filled with feta cheese. Their hummus and homemade bread are also incredibly moreish!
Main courses at Efendy will set you back anything from £8.95 for a simple Margherita pizza to £16.95 for a mixed grill or 8oz sirloin. There are plenty of vegetarian options available but for those who prefer something meaty, we highly recommend the lamb skewers or lamb chops. Cooked on a charcoal grill, all the meats at Efendy are superbly succulent and seasoned to perfection. Their grill options are all served with bulgar rice, salad and cacik (Tzatziki).
Of course, no Turkish meal would be complete without a dessert of Baklava and Efendy’s version is spot on! Flaky filo, sticky honey and crunchy nuts – perfection!
