This festive season, the classic ghost story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens will be brought to life in the atmospheric setting of Carlton Towers. The grand Picture Gallery of this historic Yorkshire stately home will serve as the dramatic backdrop for the Duke’s Theatre Company’s new adaptation of the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s redemption. Known for its gothic splendour and having appeared in numerous TV and film productions, the Picture Gallery will provide the perfect setting for Dickens’ Victorian London.
The 75-minute performance will feature professional actors, original music, theatrical effects, and traditional costumes, creating an immersive experience. While evening performances are already sold out, there are still tickets available for the matinee shows on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December at 1pm. Tickets are priced at £22 for adults, with concessions for under 16s and over 65s starting from £17. The Stables Tearoom will be open for food and drinks, and there will be a bar available for guests attending the performances.
