To mark the first day of spring on Thursday 20 March and celebrate 160 years of helping British gardeners, Dobbies Garden Centres in York is kicking off the season in full bloom. The centre is unveiling its largest-ever range of gardening products, including an expanded spring gardening collection.

Spring bedding plants are now available at Dobbies York, featuring a colourful selection of primroses, pansies, violas, senetti, and marguerites. In addition to plants, the garden centre has introduced a variety of new products, including lawn care essentials, new seed varieties, and landscaping items. To meet growing demand, Dobbies is also stocking a wider range of gardening tools, composts, and garden power tools, all designed to cater to customers’ garden living needs.

With the favourable weather across York, Dobbies is seeing a strong start to the season, with an increase in demand for gardening products compared to this time last year. Lawncare has been a key focus for many, with Dobbies reporting a significant rise in lawnmower sales as customers prepare their gardens for the new season.

Sales have also surged across Dobbies’ UK stores, with plant, bulb, seed, and gardening product categories seeing an overall increase of more than 50% in March, compared to last year.
