Camp Katur is a beautiful glamping site set within the 250-acre Camp Hill Manor Estate in North Yorkshire. RAF Sea King Helicopter Glamping Pods, Wykeham

This one might just take the crown as the most unusual place to stay in Yorkshire – and that’s saying something given the competition on this list. North Yorkshire Water Park near Scarborough launched two converted RAF Sea King helicopter glamping pods in May 2026, and they were fully booked within weeks of going live. It’s not hard to see why.

The two aircraft, ZE369 and XZ589, spent decades carrying out daring search and rescue missions across the UK before being retired and meticulously refitted for overnight guests. The conversions have been carefully designed to preserve as much of their original character as possible. Inside each helicopter, you’ll find a double bed with an illuminated portal window looking into the tail section, plus bunk beds for children. The original cockpit has been transformed into a dining area, where guests can sit among real controls and switches – a dream for aviation enthusiasts and curious kids alike. A compact kitchen with microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge is included, and guests step out through the original winch operator’s sliding door onto a private gravel landing pad with a picnic bench.

North Yorkshire Water Park is one of the largest outdoor adventure parks in the UK, spanning 250 acres, with on-site activities including aqua parks, archery and ziplining. With only two pods available and demand already sky-high, booking well in advance is essential. Prices start from £130 per night.

Located in the pretty village of Skipsea, this family-friendly Yorkshire Coast campsite is ideally situated for those wishing to enjoy relaxing coastal walks and get that little bit closer to nature. At Skipsea Sands, you’ll find everything you need on this site including a bar and restaurant, shop, indoor pool, gym, sauna, fishing lake, mini-golf, children’s playground, soft play area and an entertainment arcade. It’s in a quiet area but there is plenty to keep the kids entertained in the site and the seaside resorts of Hornsea and Bridlington just a short drive away.

Pitches start at £8 per night for electric pitches and £17 per night for super hardstanding pitches.

Humble Bee Farm

Set in a rural location close to Scarborough, Humble Bee Farm offers a peaceful family retreat. The family-run working farm has much to offer despite being one of the area’s smaller, independent sites. A real countryside experience is on offer here but it’s close enough to some of Yorkshire’s favourite resorts to provide you with the perfect family seaside break.

This site is surrounded by beautiful scenery and there are a number of excellent nature trails to enjoy on the site. With it being a working farm, there are also opportunities to meet some of their lovely animals like their pigs, hens and sheepdogs.

Beacon Farm

Home to the delicious Beacon Farm Ice Cream, this lovely, spacious campsite is super family-friendly. In fact, they make it clear that they will not tolerate late-night drinking and antisocial behaviour so, if you’re looking for a site where you’re guaranteed a pleasant, family holiday, this is the site for you.

This site is close to the historic harbour town of Whitby with its famous abbey, maritime visitor attractions and traditional seaside amusements. As well as all the essential facilities, on Beacon Farm campsite you will find a children’s play area, an indoor bouncy castle and, of course, the Beacon Farm Ice Cream Parlour and Tea Rooms.

Electric tent pitches for up to 4 people will cost you £25 per night. Additional guests are charged £2 per night and there is no charge for dogs.

Centenary Way

Centenary Way is just a 10-minute walk from Filey beach and a 15-minute walk from Filey town centre. Set in a stunning location, this Yorkshire Coast campsite is one of the smaller and more intimate sites in the area, but still offers larger pitches than most.

On the site, you will find all the expected essential facilities as well as a shop, a children’s play area and dog walking facilities. There is also a fishing lake nearby. One of their main attractions is their Fairy Tea Garden but, sadly, this will remain closed for the season due to the Covid pandemic. Regardless, it’s a lovely, well laid out site which is close to one of Yorkshire’s prettiest seaside towns.

South Cliff Holiday Park

A friendly holiday park and campsite just metres away from one of the best beaches in Yorkshire, South Cliff boasts 5-star toilet and shower facilities, a large adventure play park, a woodland area, fish & chip shop, mini-mart and fully serviced pitches. There is also an excellent leisure complex onsite containing a bar, restaurant, amusement arcade and a small indoor play area.

This family-friendly Yorkshire Coast campsite is just just a short walk away from Bridlington, where many a day can be spent enjoying sun, sea, sand and all the traditional attractions associated with the British seaside.

Park Bottom, Litton, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 5QJ

Owned and run by Phillip and Jane Sheard, Park Bottom B&B is located in the quiet hamlet of Litton. Known as the “Secret Dale”, the area of Littondale offers a peaceful stay and a charming atmosphere. The hamlet itself is remarkably pretty and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, just waiting to be explored. Ideal for walkers, Park Pottom at Litton provides the perfect base for those wishing to get their boots muddy and enjoy scenic walks across this stunning part of the Yorkshire Dales. They even provide secure bike storage and a utility room for drying off wet gear at the end of the day.

Cononley Hall

Cononley Hall Bed & Breakfast, Main St,Cononley Nr. Skipton BD20 8LJ

Cononley Hall is a Grade II listed Georgian house in the quiet village of Cononley, near Skipton. Set in the scenic Aire Valley, it’s ideally located for those wishing to discover the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and visit Bronte country with all its fascinating attractions.

The level of service here is excellent, and this has been recognised with a five-star rating from Visit England. Upon arrival, all guests are greeted with tea, coffee, homemade cake and a smile before they settle down to enjoy their comfortable and spacious guest rooms. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and include TV, WIFI, hairdryer, central heating and super soft bath robes. The property also boasts a beautiful landscape garden in which guests are free to relax and enjoy the good old Yorkshire air!

The food here is always excellent! The star of the show is certainly their traditional full Yorkshire breakfast which includes locally sourced bacon and sausages plus eggs from their own hens. There are plenty of lighter options too such as granolas, compotes and fresh fruits and the owners are always happy to provide something different for those with special dietary requirements.

The Bailey

Located in the centre of the historic market town of Skipton, The Bailey is a great option for those wanting to be close to excellent amenities, interesting attractions and a superb array of independent shops. Known as “The Gateway to The Dales”, this popular town is also just a stone’s throw away from some of the most beautiful countryside in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Bailey, is a boutique B&B with a separate holiday cottage and a delightful shepherd’s hut. It’s just a 2 minute walk away from the town’s award-winning High Street and market and just a few yards from Skipton Castle. The Bailey B&B has two beautifully decorated luxury guest rooms – a Kingsize En-Suite and a Family Room with private bathroom. Loxley House is a relaxed and friendly bed and breakfast in the market town of Hawes – home of The Wensleydale Creamery. Set in a quiet location in this picturesque Yorkshire Dales town, it offers fell views of Upper Wensleydale and there are many wonderful walking routes close by. Close enough to the town for easy access to shops, pubs and eateries, yet far enough out to offer a tranquil break, Loxely House offers it all.

Grassfield Hall

Low Wath Road, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, HG3 5H

Standing proud on the edge of Pateley Bridge and surrounded by some truly stunning scenery, is Grassfield Hall. Built in 1819 by an entrepreneur who leased and managed the area’s lead mines, the house has had many residents over the years and was once part of the Beweley Estate. Bought in 2010 by husband and wife team, Lisa and Alex, it is now a thriving bed & breakfast frequented by visitors to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The house itself is pretty impressive with its elegant architecture and idyllic location, however, the interior of Grassfield Hall is just as enviable. Each of the 8 rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished, to offer guests a luxurious Yorkshire retreat. The Garden Room with its Venetian four-poster bed and patio doors leading out onto the garden is particualy elegant and perfect for a romantic getaway.

Breakfast at Grassfield Hall is a local affair to say the least! They source excellent produce from award-winning local suppliers so expect a tasty menu of traditional cooked breakfasts, freshly baked breads, homemade cakes, delicious preserves and honey straight from a local beekeeper. Malham, Near Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 4DA

No visit to the Yorkshire Dales would be complete without a trip to Malham and Malham Cove. Blessed with dramatic limestone scenery, the area offers many wonderful scenic walks. It really is one of the most beautful places in the Dales.

River House Bed & Breakfast is a friendly B&B run by the Roe family. Although parts of River House date back to the 17th century, much of what you see today is Victorian in origin and the house has been operating as a guest house since the 1950s. The Roe family have won numerous awards over the years including the 4-star silver award and Breakfast Award from the AA, so it’s safe to say this a great accommodation choice!

There are 8 bedrooms at River House, 2 of which are en-suite.The decor throughout is elegant and perfectly complements the period in which much of the property was built. The facilities here are pretty good – they have a licensed bar with a wood burning stove, a large dining room and a small snug in which you’ll find plenty of reading material and board games to enjoy on those colder Yorkshire nights. The breakfast menu is also very good with choices such as Grilled Kippers, Eggs Benedict and vegetarian dishes available alongside their home-cooked full english. This beautifully renovated Georgian townhouse was built in 1785 and is a Grade II listed ship builder’s residence. Just a stone’s throw from the the stunning Pannett Park, this magnificent property offers 4 immaculately decorated guest rooms and a loft bedroom.

Classically furnished to complement the history and character of the house, each room is luxurious, spacious and comfortable. At White Linen, it is room-only accommodation but you won’t have to walk far to find breakfast at one of Whitby’s many excellent cafes. The self-catering Georgian apartment on the picturesque West Cliff has two bedrooms and boasts wonderful sea views. Both the kitchen and the living room are fairly spacious and the bathroom features a lovely roll top bath as well as a modern shower. Close enough to all the popular attractions but far enough away from the centre to ensure peace and quiet, this charming accommodation is perfect for a quiet family break.

Riviera Guest House

This family-run guesthouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation with breathtaking panoramic views, stretching from the famous abbey ruins and all the way across to Sandsend. Located on the popular West Cliff, most of the rooms at this award-winning guesthouse boast sea views, as do their comfortable breakfast dining rooms.

Each room includes an LCD television, refreshments tray, fluffy white towels and is decorated to a high standard. Our favourite rooms, however, are their Superior Kings which are both en-suite with luxurious four-poster beds.

This handsome 2-bedroom apartment is hidden away above Furbellow and Co’s gentleman’s store and barber shop. Located in one of the most historic parts of Whitby, this 400-year old building has been beautifully restored to create a charming and sophisticated accommodation option that just oozes style.

Ideally situated in walking distance of Whitby’s most-loved hotspots, the apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 guests within it’s luxuriously decorated rooms. The sleek but homely kitchen includes everything you could possbily need to prepare meals and, the sitting area with it’s elegant decor and plush furnishings is perfect for cosy late night chats.

The Ropery

Nestled on the East Cliff and overlooking the town, this property is beautifully decorated with neutral colours and high quality furniture to provide a luxurious feel throughout. The Ropery can sleep six people across three bedrooms, each of which either has its own ensuite or access to the luxury bathroom, featuring a stunning corner bath and two luxury steam saunas. The spacious living area has a whopping 55″ TV for those cosy nights in and the sleek dining area with beamed ceiling is ideal for an evening of eating and drinking!

The interior of this property cannot be faulted but it is the exterior of the property which really makes it stand out from the rest. Boasting unrivalled panoramic views over the River Esk from the outdoor decking area and private hot tub, this is a wonderful choice for a relaxing family getaway.

Thistlebank Townhouse

Thistlebank is a private Georgian townhouse with 6 bedrooms in one of the most distinguished areas of Whitby. The house dates back to 1801 and has been refurbished and furnished to the very highest of standards. For large parties seeking luxurious accommodation with a “boutique” feel, Thistlebank Townhouse will surely tick every box.

This gorgeous property can sleep 12 guests and has onsite parking for three vehicles – which is something of a rarity for a self-catering property in Whitby. The bedrooms are all situated on the first and second floors and the groundfloor is home to the stunning and spacious communal areas. On the ground floor, you’ll find a dining room with opulent ornamental fireplace, a large kitchen with additional dining space, a large sitting room and a separate games room. For large parties, the games room is no doubt a much-loved feature with its pool table, dartboard, selection of board games and cosy log burner.

The Grange is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels in York. Built in 1829, the Grade II listed Regency townhouse still has its original sweeping staircase with cast-iron balustrade. Decorated in an elegant Regency style throughout and scattered with period antiques, The Grange is a truly remarkable hotel offering a real taste of luxury.

The 41 ensuite rooms all include a flat screen LCD television, a generous hospitality tray with Taylors of Harrogate refreshments, laptop safes, free WIFI and luxury toiletries from The White Company. In the premier rooms, you’re also treated to underfloor heating, air conditioning and a TV in the bathroom.

In the cellars of The Grange Hotel, you will will find their 2 Rosette fine dining restaurant. The Ivy Brasserie offers a menu of perfectly presented classic dishes with a French influence, served in a stunning dining room featuring exposed brickwork and industrial lighting. Although The Ivy Brasserie is a fine dining restaurant, chef, Will Nichols, showcases his culinary talents in a relaxed and informal environment.

Grays Court

What a gem we have here! Grays Court is the oldest inhabited house in York and one of the most historic buildings in England. With it’s long and fascinating past, York attracts history lovers from across the globe. If you’re heading to York to learn more about its history, then this hotel should be at the top of your accommodation list!

The house was built in the late 11th century and has passed through many hands over the centuries. Before becoming the residence of the famous Gray family for over two hundred years, previous owners included Lord Fairfax and the Squire family.

Now, the Grade I listed building is one of the most luxurious boutique hotels in York. With just 12 rooms set across two floors, Grays Court offers exceptional comfort and attentive, yet discreet service. All the rooms are elegantly decorated and furnished with stunning antique furniture. A few of the rooms even boast spectacular views of York Minster.

Judges Court

Situated in the heart of York’s bustling shopping district, Judges Court is a 15-bedroom boutique hotel nestled in a hidden courtyard. The Grade II listed Georgian townhouse once provided lodgings for high-ranking judicary figures who came to York to sit in judgement for the city’s most serious crimes. One previous resident of Judges Court was the man who convicted and sentenced the infamous Dick Turpin.

This boutique hotel still has the original wooden panelling of the period and is stylishly decorated throughout with Georgian colours and polished woods. Each room boasts tasteful modern decor that complements the orginal Georgian features and reflects its links to the judicial system.

Small, but stylish and within a short walking distance of York’s wonderful array of quirky shops and boutiques, this hotel would suit couples or business travellers who appreciate sophistication. There isn’t a restaurant at the hotel but each room includes a Nespresso machine, handmade biscuits and a mini bar packed full of indulgent treats.

If you’re opting to holiday in the UK this year then Whitby has plenty to offer. It’s packed with quirky independent shops, excellent restaurants, traditional pubs, and the local attractions offer a great insight into the town’s famous past residents.

There are plenty of great hotels and bed and breakfasts in the area, but if you’re planning a longer break or prefer to cater for yourself, then a holiday cottage is the ideal option. You’ll find no shortage of quaint little cottages lining the cobbled streets of Whitby and they all offer something a little different. However, we wanted to let you know about one particular cottage that we think ticks every box.

Last week, we were lucky enough to spend a week at Columbo Cottage and we couldn’t fault a thing. Columbo is one of three new builds, owned by Heather and Ian Vitty of Vitty’s Cottages. The properties were built on the site of Whitby’s old police station and courthouse, which was erected in 1877 and demolished 46 years ago. When Ian and Heather bought the land, it was being used as a carpark so they deemed it to be the ideal location for three new holiday properties with a central location and onsite parking. They weren’t wrong either! The cottages are just a short stroll away from the harbour and main attractions.

As they were built on the site of the former police station, the Vittys decided to name their new properties Columbo, Sherlock and Morse. Sherlock is a slightly bigger property which was extended to include a games room and cinema area, but Morse and Columbo (where we stayed) are both very similar in size and layout.

When you first enter Columbo Cottage, you’ll find yourself in a bright hallway facing the carpeted stairs. To your left, you’ll find a space to store shoes and hang coats. To the right, is the door to the beautifully decorated open plan living area and kitchen. With solid wood floors, modern decor and plenty of comfortable seating, it’s certainly the area where you will spend most of your time. There’s also a downstairs toilet which we found really handy, having a five-year-old son who only remembers he needs to go at the very last minute!

The kitchen area has dining space for 6, top quality appliances and is stocked with everything you could need for preparing a tasty home-cooked meal. They have even provided a coffee machine with complimentary pods, a Nutriblend, a slow cooker, tin foil and cling film, tupperware, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. The coffee, tea and sugar jars are all filled before you arrive and you’ll find milk in the fridge and plenty of ice in the freezer.

In the adjoining utility area, you’ll also find a cupboard next to the washer/dryer which is packed with outdoor dining equipment and cool bag for those picnics on the beach or brunches on the small outdoor patio to the rear. If that isn’t enough to convince you of their exceptional standard of hospitality, then the welcome pack provided sure will! We were greeted with a wooden crate packed with goodies such as crisps, chocolate, local biscuits, bottles of water and a bottle of bubbly!

Ian and Heather really have thought of everything. The property itself is immaculate throughout and most would be satisfied with that alone. However, the little extras they have thrown in really made our stay that little bit more special. Local guides, books and games for children and a selection of DVDs can all be found in the living area so there’s plenty to keep you entertained if you can’t find anything to watch on the smart TV provided.

There are three comfortable bedrooms at Columbo cottage – 2 doubles and 1 twin. Each is tastefully decorated with plain walls, pretty soft furnishings and good quality furniture. You’ll find two of the bedrooms on the first floor. The twin room is right next to the main house bathroom and the first floor double is ensuite. Go up another flight of stairs and you’ll find the main bedroom which covers the entire top floor. This stunning bedroom is ensuite with a double shower and, as you would expect, it’s really spacious. It also offers superb views across the harbour towards the famous abbey ruins.

Ian and Heather are experienced holiday property owners so it’s no wonder they have provided everything you could possibly think of to make your stay in Whitby as comfortable as possible. They bought their very first holiday let back in 2011 and are now the proud owners of 8 properties in Whitby and 1 in nearby Sandsend. They’ve really put their heart and soul into these new properties and, as they are local, are always on hand should you need anything. A friendly, approachable couple with a passion for hospitality and a genuine love of Whitby, they make the perfect hosts. They’ve been residents of the town for a number of years but still thoroughly enjoy all it has to offer.

We asked Heather what she would do if she only had one day to spend in Whitby:

” I would definitely walk up Church Street to look in the shops before climbing the 199 steps up to look around St Mary’s Church and Whitby Brewery. From up this end, I would jump on the yellow tour bus to see all the wonderful sights before hopping off at West Cliff for a game of crazy golf at Arnold Palmer’s. I would then head down the cliff and take a stroll along the beach towards the town centre where I’d end the day with fish & chips from Trenchers or Fisherman’s Wife.”

Quebecs Hotel, Leeds

Quebecs Hotel is the only independently owned luxury hotel in the centre of Leeds. The Grade II listed hotel offers classic and contemporary rooms and excellent customer service from relaxed and friendly staff. Built in the year 1891 as “Leeds and County Liberal Club”, it is without a doubt one of the most distinctive terracotta bricked buildings in the city. Many of the original features remain, including their grand staircase and five stained glass windows which illustrate the coats of arms of five Yorkshire towns.

Quebec’s pride themselves on providing high levels of comfort in all their rooms with Egyptian linen sheets, duck feather and down duvets and individually controlled air conditioning all provided as standard. La Rosa Hotel in Whitby is not only an excellent boutique hotel in one of the UK’s most popular seaside towns, but it is also one of the quirkiest hotels in Yorkshire! Housed in an elegant Victorian townhouse and boasting one of the most enviable views in England, La Rosa Hotel is perfect for a romantic coastal break.

Once a favourite haunt of Lewis Carroll, the hotel offers views across Whitby harbour to the famous ruins of Whitby Abbey – thought to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey

Built in the early 17th century, The Devonshire Arms Hotel is an incredibly popular luxury hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. With on-site spa facilities, stunning surroundings, superb dining experiences and an exceptional standard of customer service, it’s the most popular luxury hotel for miles.

With classic, deluxe, luxury and superior room types in addition to stunning suites and quaint little cottages, you’re truly spoiled for choice here but the nightly price varies considerably. As regards to dining, you’ll struggle to find a more luxurious ambience for that romantic evening meal. The Burlington Restaurant is headed by award-winning chef, Paul Leonard, who specialises in seasonal menus using locally-sourced Yorkshire produce. Judges Court, York

Once the lodgings for Judges in the historical city of York, this Grade II listed Georgian building is now a contemporary boutique hotel. Although tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city’s main streets, it’s just a few steps away from York’s top attractions and wonderful shopping district.

Each of the 15 bedrooms is individually designed and decorated with rich Georgian colours and bespoke furniture. All are equipped with HD TV, Roberts radio, Nespresso coffee machine, iPod speaker and docking station, drench shower, stocked mini bar and luxurious toiletries.

Judges Court is a room-only hotel but if requested in advance, you may have a breakfast bag delivered to your room or fabulous cocktails waiting for you when you arrive.

Manor House Lindley, Huddersfield

This beautifully restored manor house opened its doors to guests in 2018. It is now a leading boutique restaurant with 11 uniquely designed rooms, offering the very best in comfort and luxury. There are three room categories – Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. As you can imagine, the amount of space and level of luxury alters with each grade. Although, these grades are appropriately named to reflect the fact that just because Gold is worth less than Diamond, it doesn’t mean it isn’t fabulous!

Our favourite room has to be room three (Diamond). This impressive suite covers the whole length of the attic and has a staircase leading from the four poster bedroom, to a stunning private bathroom suite with an elegant roll top bath and an spacious adjoining wet room.

As regards to facilities at Manor House Lindley, you’ll pretty much find everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Not content with just one bar and restaurant for guests, this stylish boutique hotel has three bars and two restaurants, each differing in style. There’s also a great studio and gym in the hotel so you can work out before you wind down!

With so much beautiful countryside to explore and many beaches allowing dogs on them, your UK holiday can be even more enjoyable when you can share the experience with your dog. Unfortunately, finding accommodation that will allow dogs can be tricky. Hotels are ruled out completely and your only option is to go self-catering. Even then, many property owners refuse to accept dogs. As many of us are now thinking about booking this year’s summer holiday, we decided to take a look at some of the great dog friendly self-catering options available across Yorkshire.

Whitby is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the county and the local area offers delightfully scenic walks for you and your dog. Explore the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula with a walk up the 199 steps to St Mary’s Church and Whitby Abbey (dogs are allowed here if kept on the lead) and then enjoy a stroll across the clifftop to enjoy beautiful coastal views.

The beaches at Whitby are also great for dog walks. From May to September, they’re not allowed on West Cliff but they’re welcome all year round on the smaller Tate Hill beach.

This beautifully presented holiday apartment is part of a Grade II listed Sea Captain’s house. With a central location and magnificent views of Whitby Abbey, the luxury property is the perfect base for couples or small families wishing to explore this popular coastal town. Spyglass 1708 is set over three floors with stylish country-chic decor throughout and two spacious, comfortable bedrooms. There’s no outdoor space with the property but the beach is just a short distance away.

Columbo Cottage

This newly-built and immaculately decorated property was built on the site of the old police station in the centre of Whitby and opens for bookings in March. Located in a quiet residential area close to the harbour, shops and attractions, it has three comfortable bedrooms, three bath / shower rooms, an enclosed outdoor space and private parking. This little gem of a property is perfect for a family seaside break. Two dogs are welcome at Columbo Cottage for a supplement of £30 each.

Cowslip Cottage

Cowslip Cottage is a stunning three-bedroom holiday cottage in the nearby village of Sleights. Perched on the hillside of the pretty Esk Valley, and just minutes away from Whitby, it would make the ideal retreat for a large family. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this immaculately decorated and well furnished property can comfortably accommodate 6 guests and offers superb views of the Esk Valley from its private balcony. Guests are permitted to bring one dog.

Cobble Cottage

A stylish yet homely property arranged over three floors, Cobble Cottage is perfect for small families or couples. Situated near West Cliff and the famous ‘Whale Bones’, it offers wonderful coastal views and is just a few minutes’ walk away from the centre. There are two bedrooms in Cobble Cottage – a double and a twin. There’s also a lovely courtyard garden area so you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on those warmer evenings.  There’s no private parking here but parking scratch cards are provided for 24/7 on-street parking. Two dogs are welcome for a supplement of £30 each.

Low Tide

Low Tide is one of two apartments set in a converted Victorian property, approximately five minutes’ walk away from the cobbled streets and popular attractions of Whitby. This apartment has one spacious double bedroom,  a light and airy open plan living area,  a well-equipped kitchen and a contemporary bathroom. Simple, yet stylish and very reasonably priced, Low Tide is bound to provide couples (and one well behaved dog) with a wonderfully romantic break in this glorious Yorkshire seaside town.

Paddock Cottage

This charming cottage dates back to the early 17th century and the owners have done their utmost to preserve some of the original features. Its central location means the harbour, beach, shops and restaurants are just a five minute walk away. Cosy and welcoming, Paddock Cottage has two double bedrooms and a single room so it can accommodate 5 guests. Dog owners will be delighted to learn that this is a completely dog friendly property. There’s no charge for bringing your furry friends and the owners have even provided a treasure chest of goodies in the lounge area containing leads, bowls, bags, toys and yummy treats.

Kirkby House

Kirkby House offers magnificent views due to its idyllic elevated position beside Whitby Harbour. The semi-detached cottage is set over four floors with modern furnishings and contemporary decor in every room. Steps from the property lead directly down to the centre of Whitby with it’s quaint cobbled streets, bustling port and excellent pubs and restaurants. Kirkby House can accommodate 5 guests and one well behaved dog.

Waterloo Place

Waterloo Place is a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment in the centre of Whitby. There are just three steps into the property and everything else is one one level – ideal for families with small children or those with walking difficulties. This property has a double bedroom and twin bedroom so it accommodates 4 guests. It also has its own private patio area which can be accessed from both bedrooms via french doors. Only one dog is permitted at Waterloo Place but there is no extra charge for this.

The Captain’s Hideaway

A tastefully decorated terraced property set over five floors, The Captain’s Hideaway boasts eye level views of the famous abbey. With three large bedrooms, this gorgeous Georgian cottage with traditional interiors and preserved original features sleeps 7 guests. It’s a delightful property and ideal for large families or groups of friends. The bedroom on the 5th level features patio doors which open out onto a lovely rooftop terrace which is perfect for enjoying that morning coffee or drinks in the evening. Guests may bring one well behaved dog but please note that the small walled yard area is unsuitable for larger dogs.

Bram’s Lair

Bram’s Lair is a lovely 2-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a stunning Georgian house, which is supposedly where Bram Stoker stayed whilst writing his famous Dracula. Well-equipped and stylishly decorated, this spacious apartment offers magnificent views over Crescent Gardens and out to sea. It’s also just a short walking distance away from the cobbled streets and historic attractions of central Whitby. You can bring one dog with you to Bram’s Lair for a charge of £25 per stay.

Kingfisher

Kingfisher is a three bedroom converted stone barn, just over half a mile from the bustling seaside town. The property has a floor-to-ceiling windows making it feel incredibly light and airy inside. The open plan living area features comfortable leather sofas, luxury stone flooring and cosy woodburners for those chillier evenings. Each bedroom is en-suite and there’s a lovely enclosed patio which is great for dining outdoors or lapping up the summer sun. Guests at Kingfisher are welcome to take two dogs.

Robin’s Rest

A spacious and tastefully decorated ground floor apartment, Robin’s Rest is perfect for a romantic getaway by the sea. The quaint little apartment in the centre of Whitby has one double bedroom, a well equipped kitchen / dining area, comfortable living room with all the latest tech gadgets and a small courtyard area with seating. You’re welcome to take one dog with you to Robin’s Rest and its central location means there are some excellent dog friendly walks right on the doorstep.
