Thorpe Park Hotel is one of the most popular hotels in Leeds and very recently won top awards at the World Luxury Hotel Awards and Luxury Spa Awards 2022. It quite deservingly won the awards for Best Luxury Hotel in Europe and Best Luxury Boutique Spa in Europe. Now, we haven’t visited the spa here but the international recognition speaks volumes about the quality of the offering here. We have, however, dined in their gorgeous indoor courtyard restaurant where we enjoyed a fabulously festive afternoon tea.
The award-winning spa at Thorpe Park Hotel features a 13-metre swimming pool, indoor jacuzzi, Himalayan salt sauna and steam rooms, a number of relaxation spaces plus a brilliant Technogym.

This 4* country house hotel in West Yorkshire was originally built on the banks of the River Wharfe, which now runs through the estate, but was destroyed by Cromwell’s army during the Civil War. A new Wood Hall was designed by famous Yorkshire architect John Carr and erected in 1750 when it came under the ownership of the Scott family. The house remained a family home until the early 20th century when it was then transformed into a boy’s prep school, which educated the children of notable names including Sir Len Hutton.
Now part of the Handpicked Hotels group, many of the period property’s original features remain and blend effortlessly with the hotel’s stylish decor. This isn’t one of the spa hotels in Yorkshire offering a huge array of facilities but there’s plenty on offer to make a stay at Wood Hall a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
