Skipsea Sands
Located in the pretty village of Skipsea, this family-friendly Yorkshire Coast campsite is ideally situated for those wishing to enjoy relaxing coastal walks and get that little bit closer to nature. At Skipsea Sands, you’ll find everything you need on this site including a bar and restaurant, shop, indoor pool, gym, sauna, fishing lake, mini-golf, children’s playground, soft play area and an entertainment arcade. It’s in a quiet area but there is plenty to keep the kids entertained in the site and the seaside resorts of Hornsea and Bridlington just a short drive away.
Pitches start at £8 per night for electric pitches and £17 per night for super hardstanding pitches.
Humble Bee Farm
Set in a rural location close to Scarborough, Humble Bee Farm offers a peaceful family retreat. The family-run working farm has much to offer despite being one of the area’s smaller, independent sites. A real countryside experience is on offer here but it’s close enough to some of Yorkshire’s favourite resorts to provide you with the perfect family seaside break.
This site is surrounded by beautiful scenery and there are a number of excellent nature trails to enjoy on the site. With it being a working farm, there are also opportunities to meet some of their lovely animals like their pigs, hens and sheepdogs.
At Humble Bee Farm they have some wonderful wigwam cabins, Normadic yurts and bell tents for those who prefer glamping to camping.
Beacon Farm
Home to the delicious Beacon Farm Ice Cream, this lovely, spacious campsite is super family-friendly. In fact, they make it clear that they will not tolerate late-night drinking and antisocial behaviour so, if you’re looking for a site where you’re guaranteed a pleasant, family holiday, this is the site for you.
This site is close to the historic harbour town of Whitby with its famous abbey, maritime visitor attractions and traditional seaside amusements. As well as all the essential facilities, on Beacon Farm campsite you will find a children’s play area, an indoor bouncy castle and, of course, the Beacon Farm Ice Cream Parlour and Tea Rooms.
Electric tent pitches for up to 4 people will cost you £25 per night. Additional guests are charged £2 per night and there is no charge for dogs.
Centenary Way
Centenary Way is just a 10-minute walk from Filey beach and a 15-minute walk from Filey town centre. Set in a stunning location, this Yorkshire Coast campsite is one of the smaller and more intimate sites in the area, but still offers larger pitches than most.
On the site, you will find all the expected essential facilities as well as a shop, a children’s play area and dog walking facilities. There is also a fishing lake nearby. One of their main attractions is their Fairy Tea Garden but, sadly, this will remain closed for the season due to the Covid pandemic. Regardless, it’s a lovely, well laid out site which is close to one of Yorkshire’s prettiest seaside towns.
South Cliff Holiday Park
A friendly holiday park and campsite just metres away from one of the best beaches in Yorkshire, South Cliff boasts 5-star toilet and shower facilities, a large adventure play park, a woodland area, fish & chip shop, mini-mart and fully serviced pitches. There is also an excellent leisure complex onsite containing a bar, restaurant, amusement arcade and a small indoor play area.
This family-friendly Yorkshire Coast campsite is just just a short walk away from Bridlington, where many a day can be spent enjoying sun, sea, sand and all the traditional attractions associated with the British seaside.
