Brighouse is gearing up for a busy and exciting April, with an Easter Egg Hunt and plenty of family-friendly Easter activities set to bring joy to visitors of all ages. From Saturday 5th to Monday 21st April, the town centre will transform into an Easter wonderland, with 23 local shops and businesses hiding beautifully decorated porcelain eggs in their windows. Each egg has a letter attached, and keen-eyed hunters will need to unscramble the letters to form one of four words.
Once participants crack the puzzle and locate the Golden Egg, they can submit their entries for a chance to win one of three Easter Goody Bags, filled with treats from Brighouse’s local businesses. To make the hunt even more exciting, the Trail Map comes packed with extra puzzles and quizzes, making it a fun-filled adventure for both young and old. Maps can be picked up from the BID Office on Bradford Road, participating shops, or downloaded online at www.visitbrighouse.co.uk/easter.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the egg hunt! Brighouse has lined up even more free activities to keep families entertained during the school holidays. On Wednesday 9th April and Wednesday 16th April, Alice and the Easter Bunny will be making special appearances throughout the town centre. And for those who love a bit of magic, there will be Bubble Workshops at Brighouse Central Methodist Church on the same dates at 1pm, featuring wands, foam blowers, and magical bubble fun.
Helen Holdsworth, project manager of the Brighouse BID, said: “We have a cracking two weeks full of Easter fun planned in Brighouse and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone out and about visiting, hunting for the colourful eggs and popping into the shops, cafes and businesses for treats, gifts and essentials.
“Hop down to the town, keep your eyes peeled, and enjoy our free activities and entertainment. We hope that families will call down and enjoy what Brighouse has to offer during the Easter break.”
