This is a family-run campsite near the village of Kettlewell, offering stunning views across the Upper Wharfedale Valley. Kettlewell is just a short stroll away from the site and there you will find some great amenities.There are three fantastic pubs, a village store, an award-winning tearoom, a popular bistro, a children’s play park and a lovely little ice-cream parlour. It’s a great, friendly little campsite and was deservingly named Small Campsite of The Year 2018-2019 in the Caravan & Camping Awards.

The village of Muker is a rural delight with its cosy pub, village shop, tea room and mobile fish & chip van. Travel a little further ( 6 miles) and you will reach the popular market town of Hawes, home to the famous Wensleydale Cheese.

Little Stainforth near Settle has been welcoming campers for more than 80 years. This particular campsite is one of the oldest in the area and is still run by the same family. Standing on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall and nestled on the banks of the Ribble, this site really is in an idyllic location. They have space here for 100 caravans, motorhomes and tents plus an excellent licensed cafe bar for guests, serving delicious home-cooked food. The facilities here are great so you really don’t have to head out of camp if you don’t want to! One of the best Yorkshire Dales campsites for families!

Bainbridge Ings Country Park

A quiet park in an elevated position overlooking Wensleydale and the historic market town of Hawes. In additon to their pitches, they also have holiday homes, country pods and a holiday cottage for those who prefer home comforts to sleeping under canvas. The site itself is friendly with a reception open 7 days a week. Great for couples and families with a love of walking. There’s no play area on the site but you will find a small children’s play park on the way into Hawes.

Buckden Camping

Set in the heart of Upper Wharfedale on a working Yorkshire farm, Buckden Camping offers two locations around farmhouse hub facilities. The two acre site is just outside the village of Bucken where you will find a village store stocking all the essentials. Grassington is a just a little further down the road and this picturesque village has some great little shops, pubs and cafes. There’s are plenty of scenic walking routes near this campsite so it’s the perfect base for the active type!

Thornton Hall Country Park is situated just outside Skipton – The Gateway to The Dales.
