16 Of The Best Indoor Play Centres In Yorkshire (2026)

Trying to find something to do with the kids on a wet Yorkshire afternoon is one of parenthood’s great challenges. When little legs need burning off, and the weather has other ideas, an indoor play centre can be an absolute lifesaver, and fortunately, Yorkshire has some of the best in the country.

From a Jurassic-themed play barn next to one of Yorkshire’s most popular wildlife parks to a 20,000 sq ft inflatable park in Beverley and what may well be the largest indoor soft play in Europe, the county’s family entertainment offer is genuinely impressive. Here’s our updated guide to the best indoor play centres in Yorkshire in 2026.

Tips For Visiting Indoor Play Centres In Yorkshire

Book ahead: Several venues on this list, particularly World of Their Own in Harrogate and Uproar! near Doncaster, operate on a pre-booked session basis and do not accept walk-ins. Always check the venue website before travelling, especially during school holidays when spaces fill up fast.

School holidays: Most venues extend their opening hours during half-terms and summer holidays, but also get significantly busier. Arriving at opening time is the best way to beat the queues at the most popular centres.

Prices: Most venues on this list charge per child with free or heavily discounted entry for accompanying adults. Prices vary considerably – DIG and Tiny Town are among the more budget-friendly options; Xscape and Stockeld Park offer the broadest range of activities but are better suited to a longer, more expensive day out.

Rainy day planning: If Yorkshire weather has caught you off-guard and you need a last-minute option, FUNZY Bradford, Ninja Warrior UK Leeds, Flip Out Doncaster, and the Funstation Hull are the most likely to have walk-in availability. Always call ahead to confirm.
